Take a tour around old town in Veliko Tarnovo with attractive Tourist Train

An attractive Tourist Train rides the tourists and guests of the old capital – Veliko Tarnovo.

The train operates from Wednesday to Sunday inclusive, between 11 and 18 o`clock.

The route itself includes all of the main sights, worth visiting in the old part of the town.

The first stop of the Tourist Train is Velchova Zavera Square. From there it continues to the Museum of the National Revival and Constituent Assembly and it reaches the Tsar Asen I Square. During your ride with the Tourist Train you would get the chance to enjoy the panoramic view to both hills – Tsarevets and Trapesitsa. Some of the sights that you would be able to see while riding on the Train are Asenov quarter, the oldest one in Veliko Tarnovo, the Holy Forty Martyrs Church, the Bishop`s Bridge, Shishman`s Bath, the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul. The journey continues with the Baldwin Tower, on the east part of the Tsarevets Hill. The Tourist Train turns around at Sveta Gora quarter and itfollows the same route on its way back to the town.

You can take a ride on the Tourist Train every hour from Velchova ZaveraSquare or later from the secure parking under the Fortress. The one-way ticket costs 2 leva and the two-way – 4 leva.
